Carefully separate the neck from the body of the guitar. Remove the strings and unscrew the screws at the base of the neck. The playability is typical of a Sears parlor of the era. Most vintage Silvertone guitars have the serial number stamped on the neck pocket, which is the piece of the neck that hugs the body of the guitar. The nut height is set with a shim, and is playable as is. ![]() The knob appears to be a speed knob style, and the jack is a standard 1/4''. ![]() The pickup is not grounded, so it is best to play at low volumes. The only routes/drill holes are for the volume and tone control, the pickup has been mounted without any screws. The humbucker pickup is an unknown invader style that is circa 1980s, possibly a Carvin? The tuners have been changed for Schaller Deluxe, which are very similar to the standard Les Paul Kluson Deluxe style. This bluesy parlor was not modified by myself.
